So, you’re interested in speaking at TEDxNMU 2019.

If you’re a current student @ Northern:

We’ve created a special application for NMU students. We hope to get a comprehensive snapshot of what you’re passionate about, why you want a spot on the stage, and how you fit into TEDx’s mission of “ideas worth spreading.” All current students are encouraged to apply; full-time, part-time, traditional, non-traditional, and global campus students.

This year’s theme is “Diving Deeper”. We’re looking for applicants who have found a passion in life, and dove headfirst into that passion. Doesn’t matter if it’s a job, a hobby, or an interest you’ve dove deeper into - what matters is the passion you have for the topic, and bringing that to the TEDxNMU stage.

Potential speakers, after submitting an application, will interview with the TEDxNMU Planning Committee. If you’re selected, you’ll be required to work regularly with a committee member to perfect your talk. This is a large time commitment (think 3 to 4 hours/week), and we expect applicants to be aware of their own schedule before submitting an application.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL DECEMBER 2, 2018 AT 11:59 P.M.

TEDxNMU 2019 STUDENT APPLICATION

If you’re a NMU Alumni, Faculty, or Staff member:

This application is more general in nature, and provides key details about your interests and connection to Northern Michigan University. TEDxNMU 2018 was viewed by over 500 people, and we expect TEDxNMU 2019 to be an even larger and more influential event, while remaining true to our Northern Michigan University roots. If you have a direct connection to NMU, we encourage you to apply.
